About
I am an Australian contemporary artist working through a series-based practice shaped by intuition, observation and experimentation. My work explores the relationships between place, emotion and experience, responding to both natural and built environments through abstraction.
Much of my painting begins intuitively, guided by colour, movement and emotional response. Alongside this instinctive approach, I am driven by a desire to continually explore new techniques, materials and ways of working — allowing each body of work to evolve through making. Experimentation plays an important role in my practice, creating space for discovery, refinement and growth over time.
My work is informed by close attention to atmosphere and detail: shifting light, subtle changes in landscape, moments of stillness, and the emotional states that surface through lived experience. Whether responding to nature, architecture or internal landscapes, the work invites a slower way of looking — one that encourages reflection, curiosity and engagement.
Through a series-based approach, each body of work represents a point along an ongoing journey rather than a fixed conclusion. Together, the series reflect an evolving practice grounded in observation, emotional response and a commitment to pushing gently beyond familiar boundaries.
