My work responds to the natural and built environments, and to the emotional landscapes that emerge through lived experience. While much of my painting is intuitive, it is also driven by a desire to explore new techniques, refine approaches and allow each body of work to evolve through making. Colour, atmosphere and mark-making become a way of slowing down, paying attention, and inviting reflection.
